What is Naturium Purple Ginseng Cleansing Balm?
I have recently been introduced to the Naturium brand, as they just launched at Space NK*. I thought that the cleansing balm was a good place to start because I love a good balm when it comes to taking my makeup and SPF off at the end of the day.

My Review of the Naturium Purple Ginseng Cleansing Balm
I have really been enjoying this balm cleanser. It has a firm consistency that’s easy to scoop out but still holds its form until you use the warmth of your fingers to melt it down into a luxurious silky oil.
It has a lovely light texture that glides over the skin and instantly melts down makeup and dirt. I was really impressed at how it tackled a strong red lip without making my entire face pink, which is sometimes the case when you wear strong colours.
When you add water, it emulsifies nicely, yet stays feeling thicker than quite a lot of other balms. You can then work the oily cream over the skin to further cleanse and remove impurities.
I use a flannel to remove this, as the thick texture means it doesn’t completely rinse away with just water. This is perfect for me because I find I get the best cleanse this way.
The Naturium Purple Ginseng Cleansing Balm is an ideal first cleanse. I like to follow this up with a light gel cleanser to thoroughly remove any residue from the balm and clean the skin once all the makeup and impurities are gone.
It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. This is great for giving a real clean feeling without stripping. At £21, I think it’s good value for money and a great place to start if you want to get to know the Naturium brand.
I am looking forward to trying more from the range.
